It's a one-bedroom apartment, single bedroom-living room of about the same size, kitchen, and a bathroom. The room is clean and adequately spacious. I am considering looking into whether there may be a less expensive option of doing my own cooking since I've got a full kitchen in my apartment.
My existing house has some water leak problems, so it had made me already decide I wanted to move, and the social worker at the rehab facility found that this place had an immediate opening. I had been in the hospital for a month with COVID. John I chose Windlands East because I had an apartment available on short notice. When you are in the hallways, you smell the smoke, and it's bad.
When we were in other places, we also didn't notice it. When we got out of the hallway and went into the dining room, we didn't really notice it. Once you get in the room, it was fine but when you're going down the hallway, it was strong. When we got out of the elevator we were going to the room and there was a very, very strong smoke smell. What I did not like is that it's smoke-friendly as well, although the residents only smoke in their bedrooms. The kitchen was nice, and the bedroom seemed pretty spacious. It's pet-friendly, and I really like that too. They had a special dining area that was even nicer. I thought the dining area looked very nice. The thing that I like the most was the apartment that we looked at had a fantastic view, but it was up on the top floor. I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentÄani We went inside Windlands East in Madison and went up to one of the rooms on the 11th floor.
It didn't take a long time to serve a room. The people bringing the food out are very friendly. They have tables with four chairs at each table. When you walk in, there's the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a little kitchen area. I just met them when I went to eat, so, it was just the people who were serving. I know they are in the process of getting the elevators fixed, but it changed their opinion of the place because the food was not as good as it was when they first moved in. The meals have been delivered up for them and the quality of the food since they've been doing that has deteriorated. Unfortunately, though, since that time, they've had some prolonged problems with the elevators not working so they are not able to go down for their meals. I had lunch with them, and the food was good. Kathleen My father is a resident of Holiday Windlands East.
